Connelly's athletic program seeks to develop each student's full potential for leadership and cooperation through teamwork. As a member of both the Alpha and San Joaquin Leagues in the small schools division of the California Interscholastic Federation, Connelly fields competitive teams in the following sports:

All returning athletes planning to participate in any sport throughout the 08-09 school year must turn in a sports physical to the Main school office by August 1st. Any incoming 9th graders need to turn in a sports physical by July 15th. 

Students who wish to participate in Connelly's sports program must attend an information meeting, along with their parents, at the beginning of the season. Any student is eligible to participate, providing she maintain a grade point average of 2.0 or above.

THREE-TIME BACK-TO-BACK CIF SS V-AA VOLLEYBALL CHAMPIONS
November 22, 2008

        Connelly scores a Three- Peat!  Led by Co-captain and San Joaquin League MVP senior Christine Yost, and Co-captain and League Honorable Mention senior Jamie Shea, Connelly won its third straight CIF SS VAA  Volleyball Championship title.   After moving up one division from last year, and with a new coach and a new system, the team swept Coastal Christian of Arroyo Grande, 25-17, 26-24, and 25-14 on Saturday, November 22.   Coach Garry Currier credited "every player on this team" for helping win the championship.  The game leaders were Nicole "Nikki" Yost (1st Team All League) with 11 kills and 2 aces; Christine Yost with 20 digs, 22 passes off serves, and an ace; Gecelle DeGuia (1st Team All League) with 10 assists, 1 service ace and 3 kills; Kayla "the Kai" Rastgoo chipped in with 7 assists and a service ace; Kathleen Chelling (2nd Team All League) put away 6 kills; Chelsea Bowers made 5 kills; Nicole Han had a game changing "pancake" dig, a pass off her chest, and to top off the night had 5 kills and 3 aces.  Six of the Connelly players are former students from St. Hedwig in Los Alamitos and St. Ireneaus in Cypress.

Congratulations to the Swim Team - they took 3rd Place in their league!
Rio Millspaugh, a sophomore: she is the League Champion in the 100 Fly and set a new League record!
