Seven ambitious Connelly students took First and Second Place in three categories with their intriguing projects in the 2008 Connelly High School Science Fair, held January 30-31. In the Biology category, junior Krista Engle took First Place with her informative project on the Pasteurization of Eggs, and sophomore Cassandra Stambuk earned Second Place with a colorful project on Horse Genetics. Junior Christine Yost won First Place in the Chemistry/Physics category with her project on Measuring Sugar Content of a Liquid with a Lazer Pointer, and sophomores Chelsea Palumbo and Saron Shiferaw intrigued everyone with their Second Place winner, Cookie Chemistry. In the Human Behavior category, sophomore Stella Kim won First Place with her project on Reflective Abilities, and junior Virginia Nolde earned Second Place with Actions Speak Louder than Words.
