                                                                        National Merit Scholarship Program Recognition


           Connelly High School seniors Grace Nolde, Moiramarie Notarstefano and Carolyne Hoey, have received national academic recognition for their exceptional academic promise.  Grace Nolde earned the distinction of  "Semifinalist," and Moiramarie Notarstefano and Carolyne Hoey earned the distinction of  "Commended Student" in the 2007 National Merit Scholarship Program.  More than 1.4 million juniors in nearly 21,000 U.S. high schools entered the 2005 National Merit Program, and only 16,000 were chosen as Semifinalists and 34,000 were chosen as Commended Students.  Semifinalists will have the opportunity to continue in the competition for Merit Scholarship awards.
