The College Board Advanced Placement Program recognized three seniors, Nicole Howell, Katrina Lindsay and Helen Nolde, and recent graduate, Flori Pierri, with the designation of "AP Scholar with Distinction" Award, and recent graduate, Makda Asrat, with the "National AP Scholar" Award.  This program offers students the opportunity to take challenging college-level courses while still in high school, and to receive college credit, advanced placement, or both for successful performance on AP Exams.

In the National Merit Scholarship Program, senior Helen Nolde has earned the distinction of "Semifinalist," and seniors

Rae Ann Halenda, Meagan Licata and Katrina Lindsay have earned the distinction of "Commended."   More than 1.3 million juniors in U.S. high schools entered the National Merit Program, and only 16,000 were chosen as semifinalists and will have the opportunity to continue in the competition for Merit Scholarship awards.  Commended students placed among the top five percent.
