Senior Meagan Licata, and freshman Ranielle Rodriguez, representing Connelly High School in Anaheim, were honored at the 25th Annual Awards Luncheon held for the Constitutional Rights Foundation Orange County Schools' Mock Trial Teams, on February 10, at the Doubletree Hotel in Orange.  Meagan Licata, Class of 2006, was awarded Outstanding Attorney, and Ranielle Rodriguez, Class of 2009, was awarded Outstanding Clerk.  Mock Trial teams competed the first half of the school year at simulated courtroom sessions in which students portrayed each of the principals in the cast of courtroom characters:  lawyers, witnesses, bailiffs, and clerks.  Student teams study a hypothetical case, conduct legal research, and receive guidance from volunteer attorneys in courtroom procedure and trial preparations.
