Lights, Camera, Action.....

The well-loved, long-standing, annual tradition of Class Plays at Connelly High School took place on Friday, March 10.  Each year, each class selects a play, and then chooses its directors, stage managers, actors, sets, stage crew, technical staff, make-up gurus and program and t-shirt committees.  For a month, during lunch and after school, they practice, practice, practice.  On Class Play Day, each class presents its play to the rest of the Connelly community and before three professional judges from local professional theaters.  Awards and trophies are given in many categories, recognizing talent, creativity and spirit.  This year Connelly thanks Ms. Maria Arii, Mr. Patrick Gwaltney, and Mr. Gavin Carlton, from Stages Theatre in Fullerton, for their expert judging and constructive comments.  The coveted trophy for Best Overall Class Play this year went to the junior class, who presented Saturday Matinee, by Dan Roberts.
