Connelly Varsity Volleyball players are all smiles after defeating Saddleback Valley Christian in three games on Saturday, November 18, at Cypress College, giving them the CIF-SS-Division V-A volleyball championship.  The Connelly Koalas didn't lose a game through all four playoff matches, winning Connelly's first CIF Championship title.  Connelly Coach Nikole Bresciani, who was named Coach of the Year by the San Joaquin League, said, "It's a huge thing for women's sports because we are an all-girls school.  But just because we are small, we can still be mighty."  Junior, Lilla Frederick was named MVP of the San Joaquin League, seniors Sara Teal, Connor Cherry and Kit Donovan were all named 1st Team All League, and senior Kirby McCord was named 2nd Team All League.
