Hillary Pearson, Executive Artistic Director of Tri-School Theatre said, "I am very proud to report that Tri-School Theatre's productions of The Hobbit and Seussical received the following Cappies Critic's Nominations."
Cappies is a national organization allowing student writers to attend and review high school theater productions. This year, the Orange County Cappies had 35 participating schools, attended 61 productions and wrote 1,388 reviews. The top three reviews from each show are selected for publication (two for the Orange County Register Online and one for OC Theater Review Online).
In May, the Cappies Critics voted on nominations and awards based on the shows they saw. Nominations means that a student or a group is ranked in the top five in that category in Orange County. The winners will be announced at the Cappies Gala on June 3, at the Grove of Anaheim.
