Catherine Wippler
Captain of the varsity swim team, a member of the varsity water polo team, an officer in the Spanish Honor Society (having served at different times as secretary, vice president, and president), president of the National Honor Society, and a member of 50th Anniversary Committee and the handbell (ensemble), Cornelia Connelly School senior Catherine Wippler says she has thrived at the school because "a single-sex campus take(s) a lot of pressure away."
Wippler studied abroad her sophomore year, traveling to Ireland and enrolling in a sister school in the Holy Child Network of Schools, to which Connelly belongs.
Next year, she will attend Villanova University in Philadelphia, where she will major in biology. Unsure at this point what her focus will be, she is leaning toward medicine.
Looking forward to the future, she also looks back with fondness on her high school experiences. "When I leave Connelly," she said, "I hope to be remembered as the swimmer, the goofy kid, and the girl with the smile."
