Tri-School Summer School 2012
Online Registration is now Open. The deadline to register is June 15, 2012.

Summer curriculum includes:

  • Remedial Classes are taught on the Servite and Rosary campuses (for those who wish to improve a "D" or "F" grade for college purposes)
  • Advancement Classes are taught on the Servite and Rosary campuses (for those who wish to advance to the next level of a subject or be able to take another elective in the fall)
  • Enrichment Classes (for those who would like to take a class to be better prepared for school and/or life skills)
  • Courses for Connelly's incoming freshman class are taught on the Connelly campus. For more information, please call Jasmine Villa at 714-776-1717 Ext. 221.
  • Connelly offers a Summer Arts Camp for students entering 5th-8th grades.

*Connelly students may only take the Spanish courses offered at Rosary, because they match the Connelly curriculum requirements.

Remedial Offerings:
First Session: June 18, 2012 - July 3, 2012 (8 a.m. - 12:40 p.m.)
Second Session: July 5, 2012 - July 20, 2012 (8 a.m. - 12:40 p.m.)  
Advancement Offerings: June 18, 2012 - July 20, 2012 (7:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.)

Summer Arts Camp: June 25-29, 2012 ($125 per course or $225 for both)

Art Camp (9 - 11:30 a.m.) $125

Drama Camp (12:30 - 3 p.m.) $125

Schedule & Attendance:

All classes meet Monday through Friday.

Students are permitted 6 hours (1 and 1/2 days) of absence due to illness per semester class and 2 days of absence per Advancement Class.

Incoming freshmen are permitted 3 days of absence.

Students will be dropped with no credit from the class if they exceed their permitted absences.

  • English I, II, III (1st and 2nd semester classes) at Servite
  • Algebra I (1st and 2nd semester classes) at Servite
  • Algebra II (1st and 2nd semester classes) at Servite
  • Geometry (1st and 2nd semester classes) at Servite
  • Biology (1st and 2nd semester classes) at Rosary
  • Chemistry (1st and 2nd semester classes) at Rosary
  • U.S. History (1st and 2nd semester classes) at Servite
  • Ancient History / World History (1st and 2nd semester classes) at Servite and Rosary
  • Spanish I, II, III (1st and 2nd semester classes) at Servite or Rosary
  • Theology Old Testament (1st and 2nd semester classes) Independent Study at Servite
  • Theology Church History (1st and 2nd semester classes) Independent Study at Servite
  • Theology Ethics (1st and 2nd semester classes) Independent Study at Servite

 

Advancement Offerings: June 18, 2012 - July 20, 2012

  • Honors Geometry & College Prep Geometry (full year/10 credits) at Servite. Only students who qualify for double math in their sophomore year may take geometry in the summer. If the student qualified for double HP math, then that particular student may take CP or HP Geometry in the summer. If the student qualified for double CP math, then that student may only take CP geometry in the summer.
  • Honors & CP Algebra I (full year/10 credits) at Servite —Honors Alg.I is for incoming Servite freshmen who have been accepted to Full Honors, or Math and Science Honors programs. CP Alg.I is for any incoming freshmen students who wish to advance to the next level of Math in the Fall, or open a slot in their schedule to take a foreign language or fine arts class. Students from other schools should contact the Servite Summer School Principal Andrew Katnic at [email protected].
  • Music History and Appreciation (full year/10 credits) at Servite
  • Fundamentals of Art (full year/10 credits) at Rosary
  • Drivers Ed/Health (one semester/5 credits) — For Incoming Freshmen students who wish to enroll in a Fine Arts (band, choir, guitar, etc.) or Foreign Language class in the Fall.
  • Intro. To Computers (one semester/5 credits) — For Incoming Freshmen students who wish to enroll in a Fine Arts (band, choir, guitar, etc.) or Foreign Language class in the Fall.

 

Registration Fees: Deadline for registration is June 15, 2012 (late fee of $50 after June 15th)

  • $300 per remedial class (+ books and materials)
  • $650 for an Advancement class (+ books and materials)
  • $300 for the Reading/Academic Game Plan Study Skills course (+ $85 book)
  • $300 for Incoming Freshmen classes (Pre-comp. Pre-algebra + books if applicable)

 

Summer School Refund Policy

If a class is canceled by Servite, Summer School fees will be refunded. Once a student attends a class period the summer school fee is non-refundable.

SUMMER ARTS CAMP (for students entering 5th-8th grade):
June 25-29, 2012 - Register for one week of fun in the arts! This is a great opportunity for students entering 5th-8th grade to spend extra time building or learning new skills. The weeklong program will end with an exhibition and a performance in the new Visual Arts Center at Cornelia Connelly School.
Sessions in Art and Drama are $125 each, or SAVE and register for both sessions for $225 total.
